What are reactive dyes? What are the advantages and uses?
Reactive dyes, also known as reactive dyes, are a new type of water-soluble dyes that appeared in the 1950s. Reactive dyes contain reactive groups in the molecule that can react with the hydroxyl group in cellulose and the amino group in protein fibres, and generate covalent bonds with fibres during dyeing to produce "dye-fibre" compounds. Reactive dyes have the characteristics of bright colour, good even dyeing, easy dyeing method, high dyeing fastness, complete chromatography and low cost, etc. They are mainly used in dyeing and printing of cotton, linen, viscose, silk, wool and other fibres and their blended fabrics.
